Description: Overview: This institute is designed to optimize adult literacy programs' performance outcomes through results-oriented instructional planning using evidence and research-based strategies to effectively manage classes and enhance student persistence and retention. The four sessions include:

Session 1: Strategies to Manage Students Persistence and Retention: How can adult education programs continue to attract, motivate, and retain young adult students? In this workshop, participants will review research on the factors that affect student persistence, best practices to motivate and retain students, and strategies to put learning into actionable workplans.
